MyFitnessPal is an app that is designed to help you maintain your fitness and overall health. When you get the app, you plug in your current weight and your goal weight. The app calculates your suggested calorie intake necessary per day that will ultimately show positive results.

In order to keep track of your calories, you have to add everything you eat during the day as well as what exercises you did at the gym and how long you did them for. For example, if you burn 200 calories on the treadmill, that’s 200 more calories you can consume that day as long as you do not pass your recommended daily intake. MyFitnessPal is a great way to stay on top of your fitness all while balancing a healthy diet.

I personally used this app for about a week until I got tired of plugging in my every move. I found, though, that it led me in to my everyday routine. I now subconsciously keep track of my food intake and the calories I burn while exercising thanks to the app getting me back on track.

imageI’m not saying to live a life that consists of counting calories or constantly weighing yourself because that’s no way to live. Personally, I don’t even believe in scales. I think what matters most is how you feel about your outside self on the inside. Weight is just a number. Muscle weighs more than fat; so when you’re working your butt off at the gym for weeks and the number on the scale is staying the same, don’t fret. What matters is that you physically feel better about yourself and the results you see when you face yourself in the mirror.

The younger someone is, the easier it is to lose weight, which means it’s time to start now! The older you get, the harder it is to keep the extra weight off so you’re better off starting while you’re young. It’s all about getting your foot in the door with a solid healthy lifestyle. MyFitnessPal is just one example of the many things you can do to start healthy living. There’s no better time than right now to start living a healthy life. Stay on track and, before you know it, you’ll begin to see the results you’re longing for.
