Hello lovelies, and welcome to the beauty and fashion corner of Get Smart. My name is Kristen, and I will be your own personal tour guide through the current beauty and fashion world. I’ll be giving advice on everything from makeup tips and tricks, to the ins and outs of style and everything beautiful.

I honestly believe that we as women should not have to break the bank to feel and look gorgeous. My main reason for these posts is to give advice that we all can benefit and learn from! Size zero to one hundred, we’re all equal, and we all deserve to know what it’s like to be happy with the way we look. Once you feel it, you’ll automatically radiate that inner fabulous woman for the rest of the world to love.

A lot of my reviews, as well as hauls and style tips will be based around a lower to middle price point. I’m a hard working college girl, and as trendy as I want to be, I’d also like to keep a little bit of cash in my wallet. Don’t we all?

I’d just like to introduce myself a little bit as well. As I said, my name is Kristen. I’m 20 years old, from New York, and I’m on a journey to receiving my bachelor’s degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising. In the fall, I’ll be moving to North Carolina to continue my studies at a business college. At the moment, I’m very excited, (but as a girl who has never had to share a bathroom with three others, I’m a little bit nervous as well).

I base my knowledge of beauty and style off of my studies in college of the fashion world, plus a year of cosmetology, and endless nights reading style blogs and watching Fashion Police and Sex and the City.

Just putting this out there, and if you know me personally, you clearly know this already. I’m a plus size girl. I’m not going to sugar coat that in any way in any of my style posts. I shop where clothing opinions are available for me, and look for inspiration in stores where they are not. I was constantly teased about my weight in school, but I realized soon after leaving high school that in order to be happy, we need to care a bit less about what others think, and focus on what encourages us to be better.

Big or small, I’m diving head first into the world of fashion. I hope you will too.

I don’t expect everyone to agree with and love my style and product choices, but I am always looking for feedback. Whether it is positive or negative, I am excited to hear everyone’s opinions on my ideas.
