cassie.jpgAbout me!

Hey guys! My name is Cassandra, I am 16 years old and I am very athletic. I enjoy swimming, softball and volleyball and have played each in high school. I also maintained my grades while participating in sports every season and barely getting a break in between. I am also sensitive, outgoing, and have a bubbly personality. I am a leader not a follower.

You might think I am “not experienced”, but just going through two years of high school I have experienced so much; whether it be making or breaking new friendships or relationships to getting cyber bullied – I have been through a lot. What I want to contribute to Get Smart is to show young ladies how to be more confident and build the confidence they need especially right now when our emotions are still growing. From all the experiences I have been through, it made me the person I am today, a mature and confident young women.

What I want to share with Get Smart Girls!

Being confident and building your confidence in high school is very difficult whether it’s losing a friend(s), going through a break up, making a varsity team, making honor roll, maintaining your grades, or all of the above.

You ask yourself, how can I be confident if I know I have no one, getting a bad grade, being on the JV level? Be true to yourself. Be you. Dr. Seuss said it himself; “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” They say to “be yourself, because everyone else is taken” that is very true. Why be someone else when you can be you? You were born to stand out!

We are all human and no one is perfect, we all make mistakes, its how you pick yourself up from the mistake that makes you, you. You have to be the leader to your own life; don’t follow what other people do. Do what makes you happy not other people because at the end of the day, it’s you who matters. In the future I will be answering your questions on confidence so stay tuned!
