When interning, you never know where it could lead, or how it could help your future. Here are some tips to help you rock your internship, whether its your first or third.

  1. Before you even go in for the interview, read about the company.
  2. Ask what the rules or order of conduct is within the company.
  3. Dress appropriately. ask how everyone dresses within the company.
  4. If you are given a deadline, MEET IT. Or better yet, get your work done as soon as possible!
  5. If there’s a big event going on, pitch in anyway you can. They could always use the extra help.
  6. If you can’t make it into work, let someone know in a timely fashion.
  7. Do not to spend all your “free” time on your phone. If you have nothing to do, ask if there’s anything that can be done.
  8. Don’t rant about your social life; you’re there to work, not gossip
  9. Don’t show up hungover. That’s just a bad idea in general!
  10. HAVE FUN! If you think it’s strictly work, you will be miserable.
