…GIRLS!

Wow! It’s been an overwhelming and incredible past week connecting with so many people that have responded to Get Smart. The cool part about Get Smart is that we are co-creating and evolving our mission with young women who have their finger on the pulse of how to relate to their peers.

On Monday June 17th our new site launched. That very same evening 18 young women from ages 13-25 gathered to answer the question “What do young women need to hear from us?”

The first Get Smart Advisory Board meeting commenced and the amount of inspiration in the room was palpable…and yes at time it was so inspiring we got a little choked up!

Together we discussed important topics we want to explore that will open people eyes to new ways of thinking about themselves and the world around them, while giving them opportunities to be fun and self-expressed.

As we continue to grow and evolve we’ll be offering programs for young women to participate in that help empower them to be leaders in their schools, communities, workplaces, and beyond.

While we started in NJ, we’ll be reaching out to young women in New York in Connecticut in the coming months. Our goal: To reach 10,000 young women who join our mission and vision for young women by the end of 2013 by receiving our Monday Boost emails. When you connect to Get Smart, you’ll have an instant connection to inspiration, guidance, and education that opens your mind and your heart.

This summer we will also apply for 501c3 status to become a non-profit. One thing we will NOT give up on is reaching less fortunate young women in communities that are hungry for female mentors and guidance.

We’ll be hitting the speaking circuit this fall speaking to schools, college campuses, sororities  parent groups, and more. We’ll speak on how young women can GET SMART about self-worth, leadership, navigating the digital age, career development, and the power of giving back. If you know of a place you’d like us to speak at, please contact me directly at getsmartcoach@gmail.com

Help us reach our goal and invite teens, college students, 20Somethings, parents, teachers, and mentors to get connected! Share this link and we can do it together!

Stay awesome and most of all stay head AND heart SMART!
