Ladies,
It’s so important to understand what motivates you. Being able to articulate the reasons why you’re passionate about your career, hobby, and interests, will help you tap into the confidence that you need to accept and conquer challenges.
Four a.m. one Thursday morning, as I drove through curvy Rockland County to drop off some friends before heading home after an ALL night J Presidential project, I quickly reflected on why I do what I do.
I came up with a list of 3 simple reasons:
1. I believe that the hard work and sleepless nights now will have a big payoff in the future. Not to mention it builds character. I learn about project management and the importance of getting quality work done, even at the final hour.
2. I love what I do. It’s e x h i l a r a t i n g: that feeling of anxious anticipation to see your completed product and a satisfied client.
3. I love the people I do it for. One of my favorite parts of what I do is getting to know my clients. Understanding and empathizing with my clients increases our familiarity and helps me to hone in on what we need to do as a team to be successful. I’ve got to believe in a client’s mission or else I’m cheating us both.
TAKE SOME ACTION TODAY!
Construct your simple list of 1-5 reasons why you do what you do. When you can recognize the simplistic pleasure in what you do, it makes it easier to share more of yourself with others. Personal branding is about being able to articulate your passion & your reasons behind it. Take a moment to reflect and build that personal brand by tapping into your sources of inspiration.
